Dear Students and Staff, this is to advise that as a result of the earthquake on Friday the Church Street, Hospitality and Petone campuses have been inspected over the weekend. School of Hospitality and Church Street Campuses Structural engineers have been on site inspecting the School of Hospitality and Church Street campuses and have advised there is no evidence of any structural damage resulting from Friday’s earthquake. This means that the buildings are safe to occupy. There is some cosmetic damage only which will be attended to as soon as possible. Petone Campus The Petone campus has been assessed by Maycroft who have been undertaking our strengthening programme. The Petone campus continues to be safe to occupy. Therefore it is business as usual unless you are otherwise advised. If staff or students have any queries please email facilities@weltec.ac.nz.
