Main purposes of the position
The main purposes of the position are to:
- meet forecast sales budgets
- assist customers with their enquiries
- maintain and create marketing and presentation merchandise and displays
- assist with marketing projects.
Key accountabilities are to the:
- Marketing Manager
- Sales Manager.

- Zero level customer complaints
Working relationships
- Reports to:
- Marketing Manager
- Responsible for:
- facilitating sales, internal customer service, merchandising, assisting customers with marketing and sales enquiries, maintaining existing and creating new marketing and presentation merchandise and displays, assisting with the implementation of marketing projects.
- Works with:
- Marketing Manager, Sales Manager, Accounts Manager, construction team leaders, administration personnel.
Authorities
- Financial:
- purchase authority to $200, maintaining security and administration of petty cash

Duties
- Meet and greet all customers within the department.
- Respond to all marketing and sales telephone enquiries.
- Assist with development and presentation of marketing projects and displays.
- Maintain all marketing and sales presentation equipment, merchandise, and materials.
- Create and maintain merchandise displays to promote catalogue stocks.
- Stock-take marketing and sales merchandise every three months.
- Prepare monthly marketing reports.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support for marketing projects and daily departmental business.
- Maintain petty cash budget.

Qualifications
- An appropriate qualification in marketing is essential.
Experience
- At least two years in marketing or retail is required.
- Some experience of hardware products is desirable.
