Sharon appreciated Dave’s elaborate reply to her cry for help when she had a few concerns over her new management position. She is trying to settle in her new role and is generally doing fine. However, she seems to be overwhelmed with work and she decides it’s time to get in touch with Dave again. This is the email she sends to Dave:
Subject: A mountain of work!

Hi Dave,
Your email did me so much good and I am applying your good advice. It seems that people understand that I am now in a new position and relations have adapted accordingly. It’s going well!
I hope the team will still appreciate me the way they do now when I go ahead with the changes I want to implement :-). Would you have any advice on how to go about introducing changes to the way the team operates?
Also, sometimes I feel I will drown in work. Some managers seem to be able to cope really well with their workload. What’s their secret?
As always, your good advice will be much appreciated!
Cheers,
Sharon
