Additional reading

Rather than giving you a whole list of books to read (which may be outdated tomorrow because of reprints and new books by these writers), we would like to recommend authors. Their books are excellent, but you can also access their articles and short writings on the Internet:

For a good overview of Drucker’s thinking:

Edersheim, Elizabeth Haas (2007). The definitive Drucker.  New York: McGraw-Hill.
This is part biography, part comment on current business and management and gives an excellent overview of Drucker’s thinking.

For a regional focus or a New Zealand perspective, you may want to read the following books:

Bartol, Kathryn  (et al.) (2004). Management: a Pacific rim focus. North Ryde, NSW:McGraw-Hill.

Kolb, Darl and Inkson, Kerr (2002). Management: perspectives for New Zealand . Auckland, N.z.: Pearson Education.

Geare, Alan (et al.) (2005). The New Zealand management supplement. Auckland, N.Z.: McGraw-Hill Book Co. New Zealand.
