During the Water Supply module of this course you will be completing the following H&S outcomes.

2. Demonstrate site safe principles - Including Hazard identification, toolbox meetings, 
3. Work safely with electricity
4. Work safely with brazing of pipework.

Working around electricity

When working in plumbing you will be around sources of electricity sometimes the source is obvious, sometimes not.

When working on a electric hot water cylinder the obvious source of electricity is the power going to the cylinder and the element inside and the thermostat. But cutting a metallic water line in a building can be just as dangerous in the following sections we will find out why.
