    Introduction

    There's plenty of water for everyone right? Wrong! Most of the Earth’s surface is water, but most of it is too salty for us to use. Fresh water is really important for survival and it is in short supply. During this topic we learn about the processes and key concepts related to our fresh water supply.

    Module Learning Outcomes:

    By the end of this course the student will be able to:

    1. Investigate how water is supplied and treated
    2. Provide first aid and demonstrate site safe principles
    3. Work safely with electricity
    4. Describe and install hot and cold water reticulation systems
    5. Install and commission a low pressure, tank fed hot water cylinder
    6. Apply work-readiness capabilities
