The aim of the module is to explore the role and uses of quizzes in formative activities and to develop an appropriate quiz activity.
Learning outcome: Learners plan one 10 question formative quiz activity appropriate to their students and or project.
1.1. Identify the summative assessment for which students are preparing OR identify the topic.
1.2. Briefly describe student needs in relation to this topic or assessment.
1.3. Describe 3 different ways in which quizzes can be used: diagnostic, formative, summative and note the differences.
1.4. Choose one type of quiz and describe the reasons for choosing this type for your students/project.
1.5. Set up the activity and understand how to monitor student progress
1.6 Complete Quiz checklist.
1.7 Gather feedback from a peer and share this with fellow students on the forum.
Assessment: Activity is added to Moodle course and Quiz checklist is completed.
